Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 28, 2019

For this Sunday, July 28th, the focus for our meditation will be on Enrichment.  Studies have long shown that an Enriched environment is greatly beneficial for the developing brain of an infant.  The brain’s processing of the visual, auditory, and tactile stimulation they receive creates more neuronal connections and is thought to enhance later cognitive functioning.  In recent years studies have also shown the adult brain has far greater plasticity than previously thought.  Functions lost to injury or disease can sometimes be recovered when other areas of the brain take over and eventually rehabilitate the diminished capability.  Neuroscientist Dr. Joe Dispenza frequently lectures on the brain’s ability to heal the body.  If his name sounds familiar, it may be because his talk that appears in “What the Bleep?” is one of the most often replayed portions of the film.  Dr. Dispenza has studied the mind-body connection and has gathered scientific evidence to establish that when we Enrich ourselves through exposure to higher frequency energy generated during meditation the brain and the body are changed in a multitude of positive ways.  The more dramatic outcomes include spontaneous healing from significant disease.  Even the more mundane results lead to measured Enrichment of the brain’s neuronal connectivity.  He is a strong advocate for regular meditation and the self-healing it brings not only on a physical but also a mental and emotional basis.  If we have emotional patterns that are not helpful to us, an effective way to shed them is through meditation.  If we are dealing with physical health challenges, one way to boost our body’s ability to heal is through meditation.  Our own capability for neuronal regeneration is much greater than we ever previously thought possible, yet we often do not give ourselves enough credit for how we can actually bring about our own healing or improvement.  To harness this power of our mind costs us nothing, is always accessible, and can provide untold benefits.  This week in our prayer and meditation time let us consider how Enriching ourselves by strengthening the mind-body connection may be helpful to us.  May we appreciate how meditation can Enrich us energetically and recognize the power we possess for healing ourselves and the world.

In our efforts this week let us also continue to use the energy of our prayers and meditation to amplify the light that covers and fills this nation.  As we perform our meditation this week let us begin by re-energizing the brilliance and power of the light we create.  Just as before, begin by forming a concentrated ball of light that is so bright it is almost impossible to look directly at it.  Raise this sphere of light up high over the nation and then let its rays cascade down to create a solid, impenetrable dome of light that completely covers every inch of our country.  From shore to shore and border to border let the entire continent be filled with this brilliant, dense light that will serve to magnify the best and highest qualities of our country and the people who live across its vast lands.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us and connect to the circle of others participating in this project.

Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I have experienced the Enrichment that comes from meditation?  How does it feel in my body when I know exposure to higher frequency energy through meditation results in greater Enrichment and healing?  Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 21, 2019

For this Sunday, July 21st, the focus for our meditation will be on Purpose.  American author and humorist Mark Twain once wrote, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”  It reminds me of another popular expression which is to live life fully “between the dashes,” i.e., what you do with the time you are given as reflected in the dates on your gravestone.  We come into each incarnation with a specific Purpose often made evident through the challenges we face in life.  Each trial and obstacle represent an opportunity to learn something new or perhaps to navigate our way through a problem in a better way than how we may have handled it in the past.  Sometimes part of our Purpose is to assist others with whom we have a karmic connection.  We come together in different lifetimes to help each other along the path.  Our Purpose in being here isn’t for our own enjoyment or the accumulation of material things.  It is to continue our evolutionary journey across lifetimes and with each successive turn at bat, so to speak, to overcome the hurdles we failed to clear previously.  This week in our prayer and meditation time let us consider all the different reasons why we chose to incarnate in this lifetime.  Let us ask to be guided in identifying the Purpose(s) we are challenged to master and also how to receive assistance from the divine and our karmic companions to help us progress.

Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I appreciate that some of my challenges are present to help me identify my Purpose in life?  How does it feel in my body when I am able to make progress against a Purpose I am given in this lifetime?  Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 14, 2019

For this Sunday, July 14th, the focus for our meditation will be on Creation.  Teacher, author and speaker Leo Buscaglia once wrote, “Love always Creates, it never destroys.  In this lies man’s only promise.”  When our actions are based in love we can’t help but Create something positive, but when we are motivated from fear, anger and jealousy the result is likely to be more destructive.  We all have the capability to be Creative, even those of us who may not consider ourselves to be particularly talented or artistic.  The way we seek to fulfill our need for Creativity depends on what is motivating us internally.  Those who Create from a foundation of love and charitability will bring something into the world that generates joy for others.  Thank goodness for Creative people, for the world would be so very dull without them.  This week in our prayer and meditation time let us consider how we use our talents Creatively to inspire others.  Let us also seek to recognize the Creativity of those around us and find ways to show our appreciation for what they bring into the world.

Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I am able to channel my inner need to express myself in a way that also shows my Creativity?  How does it feel in my body when I am inspired by the Creativity of others I encounter?  Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 7, 2019

For this Sunday, July 7th, the focus for our meditation will be on Enthusiasm.  Author and philosopher Aldous Huxley once wrote, “The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your Enthusiasm.”  It is so easy to let the burdens and pressures of adult life weigh us down and dampen our Enthusiasm.  It may feel as though it takes all of our energy and focus just to get through the never-ending list of “things that must be done.”  Yet sometimes we place greater importance on the items filling our “to do” list than they really deserve.  Another distractor that can diminish our Enthusiasm is the tendency to only focus on the negative that is happening around us and overlook the positive.  Our brain becomes conditioned to operate under a filter that blinders us to the presence of all the goodness around us.  Just imagine how much more light-filled our day would be if we could somehow regain the unbridled Enthusiasm you experienced as a child.  It isn’t impossible to regain that same eagerness we felt in our youth; it simply requires at least initially some conscious attention to notice those things that fill us with joy, those things that possess beauty, or those actions that consist of pure love and kindness.  With intentional practice we can rediscover the same Enthusiasm which will ultimately make it easier for us to get through the day.  This week in our prayer and meditation time let us ask to be guided how to rediscover all the things that make us feel Enthusiastic about life.  May we find ways to regain the youthful innocence of Enthusiasm and appreciation for all the wonders that exist around us.

Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I am having an experience that makes me feel totally Enthusiastic about my life and all its potential?  How does it feel in my body when I can recall the wonder and awe of the Enthusiasm I felt in my childhood?  Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
