For this Sunday, July 28th, the focus for
our meditation will be on Enrichment. Studies have long shown that an Enriched environment is greatly beneficial for the developing brain of an infant. The brain’s processing of the visual,
auditory, and tactile stimulation they receive creates more neuronal
connections and is thought to enhance later cognitive functioning. In recent years studies have also shown the
adult brain has far greater plasticity than previously thought. Functions lost to injury or disease can
sometimes be recovered when other areas of the brain take over and eventually
rehabilitate the diminished capability. Neuroscientist
Dr. Joe Dispenza frequently lectures on the brain’s ability to heal the
body. If his name sounds familiar, it
may be because his talk that appears in “What the Bleep?” is one of the most
often replayed portions of the film. Dr.
Dispenza has studied the mind-body connection and has gathered scientific
evidence to establish that when we Enrich ourselves through exposure to higher
frequency energy generated during meditation the brain and the body are changed
in a multitude of positive ways. The
more dramatic outcomes include spontaneous healing from significant disease. Even the more mundane results lead to
measured Enrichment of the brain’s neuronal connectivity. He is a strong advocate for regular
meditation and the self-healing it brings not only on a physical but also a
mental and emotional basis. If we have
emotional patterns that are not helpful to us, an effective way to shed them is
through meditation. If we are dealing
with physical health challenges, one way to boost our body’s ability to heal is
through meditation. Our own capability
for neuronal regeneration is much greater than we ever previously thought possible,
yet we often do not give ourselves enough credit for how we can actually bring about
our own healing or improvement. To
harness this power of our mind costs us nothing, is always accessible, and can
provide untold benefits. This week in
our prayer and meditation time let us consider how Enriching ourselves by
strengthening the mind-body connection may be helpful to us. May we appreciate how meditation can Enrich us energetically and recognize the power we possess for healing
ourselves and the world.
In our efforts this week let us also continue to use the
energy of our prayers and meditation to amplify the light that covers and fills
this nation. As we perform our
meditation this week let us begin by re-energizing the brilliance and power of
the light we create. Just as before, begin
by forming a concentrated ball of light that is so bright it is almost
impossible to look directly at it. Raise
this sphere of light up high over the nation and then let its rays cascade down
to create a solid, impenetrable dome of light that completely covers every inch
of our country. From shore to shore and
border to border let the entire continent be filled with this brilliant, dense
light that will serve to magnify the best and highest qualities of our country
and the people who live across its vast lands.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your
body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us and connect
to the circle of others participating in this project.
Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I have experienced
the Enrichment that comes from meditation? How does it feel in my
body when I know exposure to higher frequency energy through meditation results
in greater Enrichment and healing? Then send the energy and intention
of those feelings to the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express
thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
