Meditation Instructions for Sun., April 29, 2012

For this Sunday, April 29th, the focus for our meditation will be on Relationship.  No matter what one’s position in life everyone experiences Relationship.  Even someone in monastic seclusion may be cloistered from contact with other people but still has a Relationship with God.  In sum, we are social beings, and Relationship is an important aspect of who we are.  In establishing Relationships sometimes we eagerly seek them out, and other times we find ourselves snagged by complicated tangles that we wish we could eliminate.  There are Relationships that seem effortless and others that demand enough effort that we question whether we want them to continue.  Relationship is a necessary part of life and may be either instrumental in helping us become all that we are trying to be, or it may feel like a hindrance that blocks our way.  In our meditation this week let us consider the Relationships we have in our life.  Do we find our connections to others serve as positive influences?  Are there changes in our Relationships that may be needed if we are to progress beyond where we are presently?  Let us ask in our prayer and meditation that we be guided as to the Relationships that serve us and those that hold us back.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, and create the brilliant star-like light over the nation. Extend blue rays from the center of this light to the nation's four borders and then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I cherish the Relationships I have with others?  What does it feel like when I find myself in a Relationship that makes me a better person? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., April 22, 2012

For this Sunday, April 22nd, the focus for our meditation will be on Expansion.  This was the topic for our meditation back in February, but at that time the focus was on avoiding the tension and constriction that can often accompany guardedness.  In this look at Expansion we want to consider how it reflects the metaphysical principle of receiving from the universe that which we demonstrate we are ready to receive.  In other words, if in response to a desire for greater prosperity I choose to be generous with others, the signal I am sending the universe is that I have made room to receive more.  If out of yearning to find myself in a loving relationship I choose to reach out to others and extend them gestures of love I am telling the universe I have created a greater capacity within myself to subsequently receive love.  In contrast, if we are stingy with ourselves and our resources we are essentially telling the universe we believe we must cling to it because we hold the expectation that we will not receive anything else.  Every time I instead demonstrate the ability to release or give something away I create more and more Expansion that the universe subsequently fills to even greater capacity.  A vacuum is created that will be naturally filled by the universe, but we first need to allow room to be made.  Have you ever known someone who lost a partner or perhaps a special animal companion who declared they would never be able to have another relationship or another pet in their life?  While the pain they are experiencing from their loss understandably makes them unable to initially consider entering into another relationship they need to eventually recognize that their prior bond has left them with even more space to Expand.  Rather than close their heart, if they would only allow that internal Expansion to occur the universe becomes capable of filling that hole with even greater abundance.   This week in our prayer and meditation let us consider what we want to make more room for in our life, and let us ask that we be shown how to allow Expansion to bring us an abundance of that which we desire.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am able to Expand my capacity to receive by letting go?  What does it feel like when I recognize the universe responds to Expansion by sending me even more than what I held previously? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., April 15, 2012

For this Sunday, April 15th, the focus for our meditation will be on Grace. The concept of Grace in Christian theology refers to divine assistance that is unmerited. No matter who or what we are, God is always willing to love and accept us. While there may be some aspect to this that is true in terms of the capability for divine forgiveness, Dietrich Bonhoeffer held a different perspective on Grace. In his view, true Grace should be seen as something that requires personal sacrifice. Rather than slothfully proceeding through life without a care, assuming in the end God will ultimately forgive us for any wrongdoing, Bonhoeffer believed the presence of Grace actually spurs us to change ourselves for the better. Grace serves, in essence, as a metaphysical carrot and provides the motivation for us to want to change and do the best we are able. In acknowledging the presence of Grace one experiences the true nature of all the divine assistance that is available to us. We find ourselves filled with gratitude for this spiritual support and consequently want to please God by altering those lifestyles or habits that are hindering us from progressing. This week in our prayer and meditation let us consider the presence of Grace in our life. How do we recognize the availability of divine assistance, and what changes do we want to make as a result? In addition, let us consider the existence of divine Grace for our country, and how does it motivate us as a nation to improve what we are capable of becoming?

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, and create the brilliant star-like light over the nation. Extend blue rays from the center of this light to the nation's four borders and then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I feel motivated by the presence of Grace and the divine assistance that is always available to me? What does it feel like when the spiritual support provided by Grace makes me want to become a better person? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., April 8, 2012

For this Sunday, April 8th, the focus for our meditation will be on Aspiration. To have Aspirations many times conveys a sense of reaching for the stars and aiming for a goal or objective that may eventually be unattainable. The key is that by going after a loftier goal, one that may be just out of reach, we subsequently end up achieving far more than we might otherwise. There is no feeling of failure in such a circumstance. Instead, we can be left with a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment by having exceeded what we may have thought we were capable of doing. This week in our prayer and meditation let us examine what Aspirations we seek to have in our life. What are the lofty goals that we want as a focus that will ultimately benefit our higher self? Additionally, let us consider that which we want for our nation’s Aspirations. What should we be aiming for as a country that will ultimately move us forward and allow us to achieve what is beyond our present hopes and dreams?

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, and create the brilliant star-like light over the nation. Extend blue rays from the center of this light to the nation's four borders and then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I have Aspirations to accomplish something magnificent in my life? What does it feel like when I Aspire to reach for the stars in what I am seeking to achieve? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
