Meditation Instructions for Sun., Dec. 27, 2009

For this Sunday, December 27th, the focus for our meditation will be on Creativity. When we think of Creativity what often first comes to mind is artistic expression, but in this instance we want to instead use Creativity to help modify the way we behave by broadening our options or possibilities. Use this week to examine where you may have a characteristic manner of reacting to a particular situation or person in your life that does not serve you well. We sometimes find ourselves stuck in the same pattern of responding even when we recognize it does not help us to deal with the person or situation in a positive way. To help us identify alternative choices for a habitual response pattern that we would like to change we want to intentionally bring in Creativity. Use the process of Creativity to generate different solutions or ways to respond to that situation that may serve you better. Be Creative in generating ideas for other options of how to react that you may not have previously considered. Additionally, we want to examine this nation and ask if there are ingrained ways of responding to situations that do not help in furthering our progress. As a country, are there patterns of how we react to situations or to other nations that may be holding us back? In each instance, see if you can use Creativity to expand the universe of alternative options from which to choose.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am being Creative in identifying alternative choices? How does it feel in my body when I am using Creativity to find new solutions? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Dec. 20, 2009

For this Sunday, December 20th, the focus for our meditation will be on Sacrifice. As the end of 2009 nears it is the perfect time to engage in self-reflection and to consider where you would like to be a year from now. When we seek change and transformation it often requires that we shed or leave behind that which holds us back. If we consider this sloughing off process to be a willing self-sacrifice it can help to motivate us to take the steps needed. By giving up something voluntarily it forces us to evaluate what is truly essential in our lives and to realize there is much we cling to that merely weighs us down. Use this time to examine what you may be holding onto that is not needed. In addition, we want to consider our country’s direction as we enter the new year. Where would we like to find ourselves as a nation a year from now, and what remains to be sacrificed in order to assist with that process?

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am willing to make Sacrifice in my life? How does it feel in my body when I am able to Sacrifice that which I cling to and is holding me back? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Dec. 13, 2009

For this Sunday, December 13th, the focus for our meditation will be on Community. We reflected on this theme in March, but our focus this time is on the importance of diversity in building a strong Community. In this instance, diversity refers not to race or ethnicity but to personal dynamics. If a Community is made entirely of like-minded individuals it may struggle to grow and flourish. New ideas and perspectives are needed for the group to adapt to changing circumstances. If instead a Community is able to bind those with opposing personalities and viewpoints it will be much stronger and resilient as a result. We tend to want to associate with others who agree with us and those whose personalities are of similar temperament. But, if we are able to open up our Community to those who bring in opposing views and hold discourse on these matters in a way that respects those differences we end up with a much stronger group. In our meditation this week we want to examine on a personal as well as national level how we may need to change the nature of the Communities we build so they become less homogeneous and more inclusive of diverging opinions. We want to break out of our comfort zone of only associating with those who are like us and instead include those whom we might normally oppose.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am aware I am part of a diverse Community? How does it feel in my body when I am able to commune with those of opposing views? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Dec. 6, 2009

For this Sunday, December 6th, the focus for our meditation will be on Courage. With the prospect of a troop buildup in Afghanistan we particularly want to send the energy of Courage to the men and women who will be asked to serve their country in that region. Courage, wisdom and strength will help them carry out their mission in an effective manner and return them safely to their loved ones at the end of their tour. In addition, we want to consider our own lives and those of our friends and family members to see where Courage may be needed. Perhaps you know someone recently diagnosed with a serious illness who will require Courage to battle their way back to health or someone fighting addiction who needs Courage to regain their sobriety. In each instance we want to strengthen these individuals by sending the energy of Courage that will sustain them in their challenge.

As a reminder, we typically form as a group in our focused meditation every Sunday from 12:15 to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) and return to bring more energy to the same theme throughout the week as time permits. If you are unable to participate at that particular time there are instructions posted on how to energetically contribute at either an earlier or later time (please see "Instructions for Meditating at Alternate Dates or Times" posted on August 21, 2008). A few minutes before 12:15 you may want to get into your meditation posture and begin the relaxation phase.

Stage 1:
Sit (or lay down) so that you are relaxed and comfortable but your spine is straight and aligned over your pelvis (if seated). Begin by taking several slow, deep breaths. Follow the sensation of the breath down into your body. Breathe into your spine, your hips, and then your legs. Feel the breath reach your feet on the floor and then feel the connection through your feet to the earth's energy. Draw the earth's energy up through your feet into your body. Feel your body fill completely with this energy from your breath and the earth. Invite your own personal spiritual guides to join you in the meditation. Ask for those in the spiritual realm (especially the nation's Founding Fathers) who want to assist us in this project to be present. If you have trouble feeling centered and fully in your body or feeling grounded to the earth ask Guidance to help you.

Stage 2:
Stay relaxed and begin to make a connection with the others in the group by perceiving that we are present in the same room and formed in a circle. Feel yourself make contact with the person on each side of you in the circle by taking their hand -- one to the right and one to the left. Feel the energy of the group grow as you make this connection. Recognize there are groups all over who are doing similar activities with the same intention. We are connected to them as well as to each other. Feel the grid or network that is created from this energetic connection. We receive energy from it as we feed energy to it.

Step 3:
Place a brilliant white light over the center of the country. Extend blue rays out from the center of that light in the four directions (north, south, east, and west). The blue rays fill the country from border to border and sea to sea. Connect to the energetic grid or network created across the circle. Use that grid to direct energy to the manitou of the nation [see "Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 7, 2008" for explanation] with the intent of sending Courage across the nation.

The way to do this is to perceive in your body how the quality of Courage feels. Ask yourself how do I feel when I realize I have the Courage to overcome challenges in my life? How does it feel in my body when I am acting with Courage? Hold that sensation and allow it to intensify as you feed that energy to the grid or network with each breath.

Stage 4:
Close by disconnecting from the group circle. Feel as though you release the hand of the person next to you and feel yourself break from the group.

Stage 5:
Thank your guidance and those in the spiritual realm for coming to assist you in this endeavor. Ask them to continue this work from their plane on your behalf throughout the week. If you are able, you may want to repeat this process throughout the week, focusing on bringing light and energy to the meditation topic. When you do, connect to the same network or grid of energy created by the group at the original meditation session. Direct your intention to help support and grow that group energy. Be sure to disconnect from the group at the end.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Nov. 29, 2009

For this Sunday, November 29th, the focus for our meditation will be on Ambition. This is a concept that unfortunately has become sullied by those who have who have focused on misdirected goals or objectives. To have Ambition is to want to strive for something and to be successful in achieving that goal. The key is to make certain it is a right and just goal as are the means used in its pursuit. A few weeks ago we focused on Transformation -- the process of evolutionary change which implies one must move beyond the state in which we presently exist. If we are to succeed in our desire for Transformation we must have Ambition as that is what provides the impetus for the initial movement needed for change and is what keeps us on the path even when it becomes difficult to follow. In our meditation this week we want to examine where in our own lives our Ambition is directed. Are we focused on a right and just goal, and are we using the proper means to stay on the path in order to achieve a successful Transformation? In addition, consider our country's Ambitions and ask that they, too, be aligned with the right goals for us to evolve and progress as a nation.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I have Ambition to succeed toward a right and just goal? How does it feel in my body when I am being Ambitious in a proper way? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Nov. 22, 2009

For this Sunday, November 22nd, the focus for our meditation will again be on Prudence. In August we focused on this topic with the notion of fiscal responsibility in the corporate world. This week we want to reconsider this notion of Prudence but with our own individual behavior in mind. We are entering a seasonal period that presents us with many choices in terms of our activities and conduct. It is a season intended to acknowledge our thankfulness for the earth's bounty and to commemorate religious events such as the re-dedication of a Jewish temple or the birth of Jesus. How bizarre that given the original intent of the various purposes for this season we find ourselves instead in a period noted for overindulgence and extravagance. All too often it becomes a time characterized by overeating, consuming too much alcohol, and perhaps spending more money than we can afford. As we find ourselves confronted with the choices of how to conduct ourselves this holiday season we want to pause and exercise Prudence before choosing how to act. In doing so we will help to reduce the stress of the holidays and lead to healthier choices in terms of our behavior.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am exercising Prudence in judgment? How does it feel in my body when I know I am being Prudent in the choices I make? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Nov. 15, 2009

For this coming Sunday, November 15th, the focus for our meditation will be on Equilibrium. In particular, we want to focus on the relationship between Equilibrium and Justice. A state of Equilibrium implies there are opposing forces that cancel each other out to achieve a neutral or balanced condition. When we think of Justice we all too often consider that to be achieved when the outcome agrees with our viewpoint or position on an issue. However, the force of Equilibrium implies there will be instances when the outcome is disparate from what we may desire. We need to accept that there are times when the ways our laws are carried out appear uneven. It is as though the pendulum must swing in both directions, not just in one, for true balance to occur. In looking at our lives and in considering the events in our nation we want to accept that what may appear to be a transitory moment of imbalance is merely a reflection of the movement necessary within a state of Equilibrium.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am at Equilibrium in my life? How does it feel when I recognize the presence of Equilibrium amidst what may seem to be a state of flux? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Nov. 8, 2009

For this coming Sunday, November 8th, the focus for our meditation will be on Transformation. It was 20 years ago on November 9, 1989 that the Berlin Wall separating Germany into East and West finally came down. The wall was first erected in August 1961 by the East German government and for years prevented free travel of citizens outside its borders. When the announcement was made the border would be opened many people reacted with disbelief, including the guards manning the barricade who were initially uncertain about what to do but overwhelmed by the crowds soon gave in and allowed them to pass. It was a much celebrated moment of change and Transformation that allowed the country to be reunified. A key spiritual purpose for our life here on earth is to similarly allow for change and evolution in ourselves. If we are to progress with forward movement we must identify what is holding us back and let go. It sounds easy enough, but as we all discover it is a lifelong process that can be sometimes painful and difficult. In our meditation this week then we want to examine what walls may be present in our lives and in our nation that need to come down in order for us to evolve and be Transformed.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I find myself undergoing Transformation? How does it feel in my body when I allow Transformation to occur that helps me progress and evolve? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Nov. 1, 2009

For this coming Sunday, November 1st, the focus for our meditation will be on Appreciation. Last week we referred to the early build-up of the holiday season and replacing the stress that can bring with feelings of joy instead. In a similar vein this week we want to think about the gifts we regularly receive that we truly appreciate. To reduce our emphasis on material gift-giving we want to consider those small, perhaps routine gifts that help to make our life a little easier or bring us a moment of true pleasure. Look around and see what you can identify that comes to you as a gift for which you feel gratitude and appreciation. What are the things we are given that help us truly appreciate life? It may be an act of kindness from another person or a moment of beauty in nature. If we can identify those simple gifts that life brings it will help us better appreciate the gifts that are always present for us and reduce our focus on materialism.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am aware that I Appreciate the gifts present in my life? How does it feel in my body when I am given a simple gift that makes me feel true Appreciation? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Oct. 25, 2009

For this Sunday, October 25th, the focus for our meditation will be on Joy. Retailers are all too quick to remind us of the upcoming holiday shopping season. It seems that each year they roll out their holiday items earlier and earlier to entice buyers. When I walk into a store in early October and am already confronted with these displays I have to wonder whether one consequence is to also increase the stress this holiday period can bring. To me, it's another reminder of the materialism that accompanies this season, and in our current financial times that no doubt is increasingly accompanied by feelings of stress. If we as individuals and as a nation could instead replace this with a foundation built on feelings of true Joy, if we could reclaim the simple pleasures that bring us real happiness, perhaps this time of year would take less of a toll on us. As we proceed into the fall season we want to focus our attention on what brings enduring Joy and to build that feeling as a buffer against the more stressful events to come.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am feeling truly Joyful? What activities best serve me in leading me to enduring feelings of Joy? How does it feel when my body is entirely filled with real Joy? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Oct. 18, 2009

For this coming Sunday, October 18th, the focus for our meditation will be on Faith. Many different belief systems embrace the concept of a grid or network that extends throughout the universe establishing a connection among distant beings and objects. In the past we have focused on this interconnectedness as well as the subsequent influence our actions can impart as a result. Presumably we take the possible negative or positive consequences of our behavior into mind before carrying out an action. However, there are times when we have to trust that the outcome will not go awry. For example, while camping in the woods I light a fire for warmth, but errant sparks ignite the surrounding trees and create a forest fire. That such a possibility exists should not automatically inhibit me from building the campfire in the first place. Instead, I try to determine the possible consequences and take those into consideration in shaping my behavior but then have to ultimately act with Faith. E.g., I might first create a clear area around the enclosed pit before setting the firewood alight. Each time I act there exists a multitude of possible outcomes, some of which I might foresee and others of which may never occur to me beforehand. Rather than be paralyzed into non-action by the fear of what could go wrong I want to instead choose to behave with Faith, asking that the highest good be the outcome of my actions. As a country we want to similarly ask that our national actions be taken in the Faith that the highest and best good will result.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I have a sense of Faith in the outcome of my actions? How do I feel when I am aware of the presence of Faith in how I act? When I act with the Faith that the highest and best good will result how does that make me feel? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Oct. 11, 2009

For this coming Sunday, October 11th, the focus for our meditation will be on Peace. The recent award of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama is a clear acknowledgement of the shift or change that is occurring in this country. Although some might voice criticism that the honor has not yet been earned, I see the award as providing an opportunity to overcome any remaining inertia that is holding us back from achieving these expectations. It signals a sea change in how we are perceived by the rest of the world, and if we put our meditative efforts to bear on the issue we can help accelerate and extend the desire for Peace across the entire nation. In considering our nation we want to also focus on where the desire for Peace needs to be further instilled within our own borders. There remain constant reminders in the news of how we have much work to do to quell the violence that still injures the soul of this country. In our prayer and meditative efforts this week we want to deepen and extend the desire for Peace across our nation.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am feeling a sense of Peace? How do I feel when I desire the presence of Peace in my life? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Oct. 4, 2009

For this coming Sunday, October 4th, the focus for our meditation will be on Respite from stress. In particular, we want to look at where there may be sources of emotional strife and ask for relief from this distress. In looking at news headlines there are countless potential stressors for the citizens of this nation -- severe weather events, the country's continuing financial troubles, threats of possible terrorist plots -- it can be easy to feel overwhelmed as a result. In addition, we all experience different types of emotional stress in our personal lives that at times can feel similarly overwhelming. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to unhealthy choices in how people attempt to deal with stress. Substance abuse, addictive behavior, or other escapist strategies provide no lasting relief. Instead, we would be better served to find alternative means that do not turn self-destructive. Recognizing that stress will always exist in some form or other, this week we want to ask that people across this nation find a healthy means to better deal with the stressors that will inevitably become present in our lives.

Feel the breath reach your feet on the floor and then feel the connection through your feet to the earth’s energy. Draw the earth’s energy up through your feet into your body.

Feel yourself make contact with the person on each side of you in the circle by taking their hand – one to the right and one to the left. Feel the energy of the group grow as you make this connection. Recognize there are groups all over who are doing similar activities with the same intention. We are connected to them as well as to each other. Feel the grid or network that is created from this energetic connection. We receive energy from it as we feed energy to it.

Stage 3:
Place a brilliant white light over the center of the country. Extend blue rays out from the center of that light in the four directions (north, south, east, and west). The blue rays fill the country from border to border and sea to sea. Connect to the energetic grid or network created across the circle. Use that grid to direct energy to the manitou of the nation [See Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 7, 2008 for explanation] with the intent of permeating a desire for Respite from stress.

The way to do this is to perceive in your body a positive means to deal with the emotional stressors we find confronting us. Ask yourself how does it feel when you are able to obtain Respite from stress in a healthy way?

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 27, 2009

For this coming Sunday, September 27th, the focus for our meditation will be on Purposefulness. Do you sometimes feel as though you are moving through your daily routine or at times even the broader scheme of your life with no real purpose in mind? It seems so easy for us to operate on "automatic pilot" and go through the motion of "being" without fully appreciating the intent for our actions. When we have a clear sense of the Purpose behind our actions they are carried out with greater power and impact. Acting with Purposefulness keeps us from wandering aimlessly or blindly following the pack and helps to make us more effective in the actions we take. This week in addition to reflecting on this quality in our own lives we want to also ask that our nation act with clear Purpose in the direction it is taking.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am feeling a clear sense of Purpose? How do I feel when I recognize what is my intent and act Purposefully? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 20, 2009

For this coming Sunday, September 20th, the focus for our meditation will be on Nourishment. To be nourished means to take in substances that sustain us. Most typically it refers to physical sustenance, but for this coming week we want to acknowledge the importance of balance in how we sustain ourselves. We want to recognize the need to go beyond physical sources and likewise nourish our mind and spirit. Look around and identify what sources provide the best nourishment for your mental attitude, your emotional outlook, and your spiritual connection. If we can find healthier ways to nourish all aspects of who we are it will strengthen our entire being. This week in our meditation we want to bring an awareness to the people of this nation for balanced and healthy nourishment that goes beyond just physical needs. In doing so we will thereby assist in strengthening the foundation of this nation.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am being Nourished? How do I feel when I take time to Nourish myself emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 13, 2009

For this coming Sunday, September 13th, the focus for our meditation will be on Direction. There are some important decisions before our elected officials, and clearly a great deal of disagreement exists over the final shape of these matters. As with most political agendas there appear to be advantages and disadvantages to what both parties are proposing in terms of health care reform. I don't know about the rest of you but I remain confused over what would be the best choice. My sense from what I have been hearing and reading is that most of America is likewise confused, and the political posturing isn't helping to offer much clarity. Therefore in order for our elected officials to make the right decision we want to focus our meditative efforts on their receiving spiritual Direction that guides them in the best interests of this country.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I recognize a clear Direction in my life? How do I feel when I am aware of knowing the right Direction to take when faced with a decision? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 6, 2009

For this coming Sunday, September 6th, the focus for our meditation will be on Discernment. It is a topic we visited during last fall's election campaign and was intended to help voters sort through the rhetoric and misinformation so rampant in any election. Even though the election is long past this returns as an area of focus for our group. As noted in last week's post we want to bring our meditative efforts to bear on reducing the fear and anxiety prevalent among citizens concerned about proposed changes to the health care system. I am neither advocating support for nor criticism of the proposed changes. The final version will ultimately come down to a collaborative effort between Congress and the President and contain aspects that reflect the compromises necessary to pass such legislation. In other words, there are likely to be features that please some people but displease others. We want to use the power of meditation and prayer to help citizens cut through the misinformation and distortion regarding the proposed changes so they can make better informed, rational decisions and communicate them in a civil manner to their elected officials. Last week we worked to remove the nation from the place of fear that prevented people from receiving information accurately; this week we want to assist them in clearer understanding of what is being proposed and the ability to use better Discernment.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am able to Discern information accurately? How do I feel when I am aware of clear Discernment that makes evident what is true? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Aug. 30, 2009

It was just over a year ago that this Meditation Project first began. For the most part I have resisted the temptation to respond to news reports and national events to direct our focus each week. Instead, I feel this effort needs to be proactive rather than reactive, and to serve as a means of being open to spiritual guidance and receiving direction from Spirit as to what this nation most needs. This week, however, we will use the efforts of this group to bring needed energy and light to the nation in response to the growing problem of misinformation surrounding Pres. Obama's policies and specifically the debate on health care reform. Here are two accounts that describe the pervasive tone of fear and suspicion that is being fed by misinformation [please note - "tinyurl.com" is simply a way of shortening very long web addresses so they can be more easily listed in text]:

http://tinyurl.com/m5rcxh - an AARP Bulletin Today report from August 14, 2009

and,

http://tinyurl.com/mt329a - a column from the Charlotte Observer posted August 26, 2009

What is most distressing is how readily people succumb to blind acceptance of (mis)information that is not only hard to believe but downright ludicrous. If we want to help bring greater discernment to the people of this nation we need to first remove them from the place of fear in which they are now mired. Until the mind-numbing waves of fear and anxiety are lifted people will remain unable to recognize the truth. Our focus then for this coming Sunday, August 30th, is to bring Calm to the nation. If we can instill a greater sense of calm and serenity we can then focus next week on bringing greater Discernment. Once the fear is removed people's minds will be open to considering other viewpoints with more clarity.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am feeling Calm? How do I feel when I am aware of remaining Calm in the presence of fear and anxiety? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

If you have feedback or experiences you would like to share please let me know via e-mail to k_miritello@bellsouth.net or kmiritello@gmail.com

I want to also express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for continuing to support this project. Many, many thanks for contributing your energy and feedback, for helping to spread the word, and for being a part of moving this nation forward.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Aug. 23, 2009

For this coming Sunday, August 23rd, the focus for our meditation will be on Clarity. There are so many ways in which the path before this nation seems unclear. Much debate is going on as to the direction we should take regarding various policies. Combined with this there seems to be a great deal of miscommunication, some likely purposeful, in order to instill confusion and distrust. Should we or should we not support proposed health care reform? Are we on the cusp of financial recovery, or do we need to prepare ourselves for further belt-tightening? Perhaps in your own life you feel the same way, with confusion and miscommunication swirling around you. Ask yourself where you feel you need to clear out aspects of your life. By bringing our meditative efforts to bear on Clarity this week we hope to make the right path before this nation and ourselves come into greater focus.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am feeling Clarity in my life? How do I feel when I am confident the direction or path I am taking appears Clear? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Aug. 16, 2009

For this coming Sunday, August 16th, the focus for our meditation will be on Prudence. We've focused previously on individual financial responsibility through being satisfied with what we have as well as being generous stewards to others around us. In this week's meditation we want to extend this notion of Prudence and fiscal responsibility to the corporate world. Headlines continue to signal alarm over the shaky financial health of many of America's corporations. Despite the introduction of various stimulus and assistance programs companies are finding they need to make significant cutbacks, and their employee population is often the first to feel the impact through forced layoffs. Yet at the same time we read of the lavish bonuses being handed to top executives of these distressed companies or of corporate events where management wines and dines in extravagant style. Clearly something is out of balance, and so we want to use our meditative efforts to strengthen the sense of corporate fiscal responsibility and Prudence as a foundation for our nation's return to economic health.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I am being Prudent with finances? How does it make me feel when I recognize signs of fiscal Prudence and responsibility in companies? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Aug. 9, 2009

For this coming Sunday, August 9th, the focus for our meditation will be to Re-energize. I'm a frequent business traveler, and every August I observe the same pattern of families heading off for the last gasp of vacation fun before school resumes. Despite claims of current economic conditions cutting into family vacation travel I haven't seen any signs of it waning in my trips through airports. Yet, there is something puzzling to me about this phenomenon. More often than not everyone looks tired, stressed, and not at all as if they were truly enjoying themselves. The parents, lugging luggage, car seats, and kids, look frazzled beyond description, and the children rarely appear calm and content. It makes me wonder what is the aim of this pursuit? Americans work longer hours than any other industrialized nation and on average take less time away from the job to relax and recharge. We may appear to be very good at operating at this incessant speed, but it will eventually take its toll. For this nation to return to a healthy state we need to be mindful of our own energy level and the important role of taking time to recharge. You can do this through simple processes such as sitting quietly and taking a few deep breaths several times a day, finding sources of beauty around you, allowing for introspective periods of prayer and meditation, and just recognizing the value of taking yourself off the assembly line for a few moments to Re-energize.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body when I allow myself to be Re-energized? How does taking time to Re-energize help my body feel different and healthier? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Aug. 2, 2009

For this coming Sunday, August 2nd, the focus for our meditation will be on Influence. Whether we are consciously aware of it or not we have an impact on the world around us merely by the energy we carry in our bodies. The quality of this energetic field is transmitted in a ripple effect as we move through our environment. Just as a pebble thrown into a pond ultimately has an effect on the waters on the opposite shore, our energy likewise impacts everything around us. Einstein once said energy is never lost, it only becomes transferred to another form of energy. This is kind of a scary thought if you think about the "downstream" impact of an angry moment. What happened to that energy after it left my body? Where did it go in the universe, and more importantly, whom might it have affected, perhaps inducing a similar state of rage in another person? If we take a step back and examine what we broadcast through our energetic field, what do we see? Similarly, if we look at what our nation as a whole broadcasts to the rest of the world, what sort of Influence do we project as a country? In our meditation this week we want to become more conscious of the energy we send out through our thoughts, words, and actions. We want to increase our awareness of our impact on others and in doing so make a concerted effort to broadcast more positive ripples of Influence as individuals and as a nation.

Feel the breath reach your feet on the floor and then feel the connection through your feet to the earth’s energy. Draw the earth’s energy up through your feet into your body.

7, 2008 for explanation] with the intent of permeating a sense of being Grounded to the Earth. The way to do this is to perceive in your body what being Grounded feels like. Ask yourself, "How does it feel in my body when I am aware that I create a positive presence for those around me?" "How do I feel when I am conscious of my Influence on others?" Hold that sensation and allow it to intensify as you feed that energy to the grid or network with each breath.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 26, 2009

For this coming Sunday, July 26th, the focus for our meditation will be on Inclusion. Just when we think we have come so far as a nation in advancing our treatment of each other and particularly in healing our long history of racial strife something happens such as what occurred in recent weeks. Children are denied entry to a private pool because of their "complexion." A respected university professor has an encounter with police officers that raises questions about racial biases. In the latter case in particular I have seen enough such incidents to know there are always two sides to a story and often neither one is accurately presented to the public. Probably the most reliable account was from a local official who was quoted as saying mistakes were made on both sides.

The purpose of referring to these incidents is not to cast blame but to use them as signs of how far we still have to go in truly embracing those who may seem different from us. The notion of "tolerance" is a rather misleading objective when you think about it. "Tolerance" suggests having to withstand something potentially onerous. True acceptance and understanding do not come from a position of "you stay on your side of the fence, and I'll stay on mine, and together we'll agree to let each other coexist." Rather, we want to focus this week on the concept of seeking to understand and embrace those around us with different views, backgrounds, ethnicity, etc. For us to truly meet the standard of this country as a "melting pot" we want to increase our desire for Inclusion for all.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what does it feel like in my body to be Inclusive of those around me? How do I feel when I am being Included by others into their group? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 19, 2009

For this coming Sunday, July 19th, the focus for our meditation will again be on Disentanglement. How interesting that this week in particular I find myself posting the update so late before our usual Sunday meditation begins. Mostly it is due to all the things that got in my way this week - the things that kept me "stuck" in place and unable to progress. In thinking about our nation I ask myself what may keep us from similarly moving forward? Do we continue to cling to views or attitudes that get in the way of advancing our treatment of others? In our meditation this week please examine how and where you believe you become entangled and stuck in your own life as well as for our country.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am free of entanglements and am able to move forward? What does it feel like in my body to be Disentangled from the things that keep me stuck? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 12, 2009

For this coming Sunday, July 12th, the focus for our meditation will be on Disentanglement. Modern life certainly seems more complex than that of our forebears. Sometimes the things that are supposed make life easier, e.g., technology, instead serve to encumber us. I'll be the first to admit I suffer from a "crackberry" addiction to email. How ironic that the very thing that so readily connects us all via an electronic web instead seems to get in our way. This week we want to examine where in particular there are snarls and tangles in our path not only as individuals but also as a nation. Ask yourself what does this country adhere to that is keeping us from moving forward? What in your own life do you cling to (or what clings to you) that prevents you from progressing?

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am free of entanglements? What does it feel like in my body to be Disentangled from the things that hold me back? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 5, 2009

For this coming Sunday, July 5th, the focus for our meditation will be on Groundedness. Our society is often too focused on the quality of one's intellect as a measure of how advanced we have become. As a result, we no longer have an appreciation for the importance of being connected to the energy of the Earth beneath our feet. Staying connected and Grounded helps sustain our individual energy level. There is a limitless source of energy always present below us that we often fail to recognize. Instead, we deplete ourselves by rushing around putting out the "fires" that flare up around us. People who remain rooted firmly to the Ground seem better at weathering various crises. Being Grounded helps to maintain a healthier and more balanced perspective on what is truly important in life and what can be ignored. Reconnecting with a sense of being rooted into the Earth will help this nation draw on an important source of strength and allow us to keep the occasional turmoil around us in clearer perspective.

As a reminder, we typically form as a group in our focused meditation every Sunday from 12:15 to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) and return to bring more energy to the same theme throughout the week as time permits. Meditation Instructions for Sun., June 28, 2009

For this coming Sunday, June 28th, the focus for our meditation will be on Conviction. It is almost unfathomable today to try and imagine what our forefathers faced in taking the momentous step of leaving England on a perilous journey across the ocean to forge new lives for themselves in an unknown land. Truly this was a leap of faith for those who chose to leave the comfort of their familiar surroundings in the hope of a better way of life. I can only imagine how easily they succumbed to bouts of self-doubt, questioning whether they had made the right move. To carry out their plans must have required incredible courage and confidence that things would turn out right. Even though our nation's present challenge seems far less daunting by comparison we still are on a precipice of what the future holds. As we move through this time we want to summon the same level of Conviction and the unshakable belief that we are moving in the right direction. In possessing Conviction it will keep us from wavering from the course we need to take.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I have a firm conviction about all the future holds? What does it feel like in my body when I am confident about the direction my life is taking? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., June 21, 2009

For this coming Sunday, June 21st, the focus for our meditation will be on Liberty. In just a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Independence Day, the July 4th holiday, but the time seems to be right to focus on the notion of Liberty and freedom from oppression. The freedoms we possess by virtue of our national citizenship are often taken for granted. One only needs to travel to other parts of the world to quickly realize others are not so fortunate. Yet even in a land where the roots of liberty are so deeply entrenched in our origins and history how many of us fail to appreciate the significance of this hard-earned right? It was the impetus for our forefathers to leave the country of their birth and travel across an ocean to settle in a strange new land. Wars have been fought and lives lost to retain this right. In our meditation this week we want to express gratitude for the sacrifices that have been made to secure our freedoms and to instill an appreciation for the inalienable right of Liberty.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I have an appreciation for the freedoms and Liberty this nation offers? What does it feel like in my body when I am aware of the Liberty we have as a birthright? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., June 14, 2009

For this coming Sunday, June 14th, the focus for our meditation will be on Protection. A few weeks ago we sent our intentions for our fallen veterans and heroes. This week we are asking that our military troops currently serving around the world be protected from harm. I recently met with a friend who volunteers with the USO to discuss our common vision of creating energy healing programs for wounded veterans. The life-altering impact from the injuries they receive in the line of duty is difficult to comprehend. It is hard to put into words how these young souls become changed by their combat experiences, even if they return with no visible signs of physical injury. In asking that they be surrounded by light we want to encircle them with a field of Protection that insulates not only their physical bodies but also their hearts and souls and returns them safely to their loved ones.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I have a sense of safety and Protection around me? What does it feel like in my body when I am feeling supported and Protected? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation. In addition, use the energy of your prayer and meditation to enclose our military men and women in a cocoon of light that will deflect any harm they may encounter.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Jun. 7, 2009

For this coming Sunday, June 7th, the focus for our meditation will be on Satisfaction. A friend recently told me a story about a wealthy New York investor who threw a swanky party at his Fifth Avenue luxury apartment. The guest list included several famous people including Joseph Heller, author of the classic 1960's novel, "Catch-22." As the attendees moved from room to room in the vast apartment, each more lavishly decorated than the other, one of the guests turned to Heller and said, "Do you know he [referring to the investor] makes more in a month than you made with all of your royalties from Catch-22?" Heller paused and then reportedly said, "That may be, but I have something he doesn't have." "What's that?" the guest asked. "Enough," was Heller's simple response.

The story may be apocryphal, but it serves to illustrate an important lesson for us all. In the past we've made the focus of one of our weekly meditations the concept of "abundance." Yet, how much does one have to have to feel a sense of abundance? What is necessary to make one satisfied or content with what you already have? In our meditation this week we want to help establish a sense of contentment, of feeling satisfied with what one already has in life. This is a shift in consciousness for many people but ultimately is fundamental to restoring our financial health as individuals and as a nation.

Feel the breath reach your feet on the floor and then feel the connection through your feet to the earth’s energy.
Draw the earth’s energy up through your feet into your body.

7, 2008 for explanation] with the intent of increasing the sense of Satisfaction.

The way to do this is to perceive in your body what the quality of Satisfaction feels like. Ask yourself, "How does it feel like in my body when I am Satisfied with what I already have?" "What in my life helps to create a sense of contentment and Satisfaction?" Hold that sensation and allow it to intensify as you feed that energy to the grid or network with each breath.

Remember to report your experiences (if you choose) by email to k_miritello@bellsouth.net or kmiritello@gmail.com.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 31, 2009

For this coming Sunday, May 31st, the focus for our meditation will be on Interconnectedness. One of the wonderful contributions of the field of quantum physics is having demonstrated the interconnectedness of distant objects to each other. By raising our awareness that we can impact objects and beings separated from us in space it makes us more conscious of the power of our words and actions. It is also, I believe, what serves as the foundation for remote healing and the power of prayer. In generating the prayer or the healing intention and releasing that into the universe you create a ripple of energy that travels around the world, eventually washing like a wave over the other individual and impacting their being. Each week during our meditation we often feel the presence of a grid or network that extends between the members of the circle and reaches out beyond our group. Centuries before quantum physics came along Mahayana Buddhism first referred to this grid as "Indra's Net" - a virtual spider web that extends out, creating connections between all the other objects and beings in the universe. In our meditation this week we want to focus on raising awareness of the Interconnectedness of all beings to each other. By doing so, we hope to make people more conscious of the impact of their thoughts, words, and actions on others and the world around them and to thereby be motivated to create a more positive influence.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does this sense of Interconnectedness to other beings feel in my body? How do I feel when I am aware of my connectedness to the Universe? What do I want the energetic ripple I create and send out to contain? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 24, 2009

For this coming Sunday, May 24th, the focus for our meditation will be on Determination. This is a holiday weekend during which we take time to remember our fallen heroes -- those who have served this country and given the ultimate sacrifice of their life to their nation. In reflecting on the nature of what these honored veterans were asked to do they required Determination and the tenacity to firmly take action when others might choose to turn their backs. This is not about the rightness or wrongness of war. That is something better left to debates elsewhere. It is about the resoluteness of one's character that drives one to act with firmness of purpose under difficult conditions. Just as these veterans found the courage to act purposely, so do we as citizens of this nation want to find that same determination in our everyday lives. As a country we are faced with significant challenges ahead, and the quality of Determination will help us find a way through these obstacles.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what areas of my life require me to face them with more Determination? How does it feel in my body when I am being Determined? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 17, 2009

For this coming Sunday, May 17th, the focus for our meditation will be on Resilience. There are so many changes being forced on people and industries across the nation during these difficult times. People who may have identified with a particular career path or profession suddenly find themselves out of work and having to learn a new skill set in order to gain meaningful employment. I recently heard the story of a successful business that decades ago manufactured feedbags for horses. Their feedbags were considered very well-made and were quite popular. No matter how great their product was or the quality of their work, however, when the "horseless carriage" took over they had a choice to make. Either figure out a way to make feedbags for automobiles or re-tool what they did. In the course of re-inventing oneself you may need to examine what is holding you back from being resilient and adaptive. For this nation in particular are there things we are clinging to that need to be discarded? What are the "cobwebs" that need to be swept out so we can recreate what this country stands for and represents? If we are to progress and evolve as individuals and as a nation we want to figure out a way to regain our sense of Resilience.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself what may be holding me back or needs to be discarded before I can adapt and progress as an individual? How does it feel in my body when I am being Resilient? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 10, 2009

For this coming Sunday, May 10th, the focus for our meditation will be on Respect. The dictionary includes in its definitions for Respect the notion of esteem for another person's worth or ability along with deference and courtesy in acknowledging them. It is a fundamental value that is taught to children by those who raise them. Most would say before you can truly respect others you must first have self-respect. When you have respect for yourself you become capable of the mutual consideration that brings respect for others. For this nation we want to help foster a sense of self-respect among our citizens and to then extend that same value to others not only around us in our lives and communities but also to other countries around the world. If we can increase the sense of self-respect and respect for others this will greatly help in making the world more receptive to peace.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I have Self-Respect? How do I feel when I have Respect for others? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 3, 2009

For this coming Sunday, May 3rd, the focus for our meditation will be on Stewardship. No matter which metric you choose (per capita income, GNP, etc.), this nation ranks as a very powerful force globally. I sometimes wonder if our Founding Fathers had any notion of how influential and powerful a country we would become? With the immense resources and power we possess, however, comes an equally important burden of responsibility in how we exercise that influence. Those around us with less ability or fewer resources naturally become our charges. As "good stewards" we need to care for those charges and should accept that responsibility willingly and gladly. Being in a position to act as a "good steward" might be viewed as a reflection of the abundance of blessings the steward has received. In this week's meditation we want to foster a desire to take on the responsibility of Stewardship in recognition and gratitude for all that we abundantly possess as a nation and as individuals.

As a reminder, we typically form as a group in our focused meditation every Sunday from 12:15 to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) and return to bring more energy to the same theme throughout the week as time permits. Meditation Instructions for Sun., Apr. 26, 2009

This morning, April 24th, at 3:23 am Eastern time, the moon officially entered the "new moon" cycle in which it is temporarily no longer visible in the night sky. One of our participants emailed me and referred to the cycle in which the moon transitions from "full" to new" as a cycle of shedding and releasing. When it then moves from "new" to "full" it is a cycle in which you call in and attract things in your life. For this coming Sunday, April 26th, we are going to continue our 28-day cycle of reflection on the moon and wholeness but with a variation. As you spend time in meditation please focus on not only the notion of "wholeness" in your life but also what you need to perhaps shed and release before asking to call in what is needed in your life. What does this nation need to shed and release as we enter this same phase? What does the nation need to call in and attract so we may continue to evolve and progress in the right direction? As we meditate on these ideas we want to stimulate this same quality of reflection across the people of this nation.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle. Reflect on the questions noted above and then send the energy and intention of that reflection to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
