Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 30, 2010

For this Sunday, May 30th, the focus for our meditation will be on Enjoyment. Have you ever known someone who had a possession so special they felt reluctant to use it? Most of us know someone who has that "special" set of china, for instance, that they want to save for only exceptional occasions. Some people take this to extreme forms and hoard objects they want to use "someday" but can never bring themselves to actually ever take out and employ. As a result, the items often decay or go bad and in the meantime the person denies themselves the Enjoyment they could have obtained from them. Last week we focused on prosperity and this week we want to realize that in order for us to truly feel prosperous we need to fully appreciate and Enjoy the riches we are given in this life. This is not about reckless spending as though there were no tomorrows but more about relishing what you already have. Don't put it off for that future "special" occasion that may never come -- instead, wear those items you have been saving for a rare event, get out the precious china for an everyday family meal, and choose an ordinary day to seek ways to gain every bit of Enjoyment from what you already possess.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am feeling true Enjoyment with what I already have? What does it feel like when I realize how much Enjoyment I deserve to experience in this life? How does it make me feel when I am aware there is much around me that can bring me real Enjoyment? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 23, 2010

For this Sunday, May 23rd, the focus for our meditation will be on Prosperity. Sometimes people attach a particular stigma to being wealthy. In some circles it can be viewed as evil or bad to have accumulated wealth and possessions. Certainly this can be the case if done at the expense of others or gained through dishonest means, but achieving a particular status or level of material comfort is not in and of itself inherently despicable. It can help create or support a degree of philanthropy which might not otherwise exist. When our physical and material needs are met abundantly it also can provide a freedom of choice and action that allows someone to volunteer their time and services or pursue a different career path that leads them to help others in a way that wouldn't be possible without the independence afforded by their ample resources. Rather than malign or disparage someone for having achieved a measure of wealth perhaps we would be better served to hold a more neutral view. After all, if we despise Prosperity what is the likelihood we can ever attract that in our own lives? While not advocating pursuing wealth for wealth's sake, we may want to reconsider our view of Prosperity and recognize that there is much good that can come from it. Instead of feeling envy or animosity toward those who have Prosperity if we instead focus on increasing our own sense of generosity we may find it ultimately returned a hundredfold. This week in our meditation let us ask to be shown how to embrace and receive Prosperity in our own lives in a way that may benefit our higher selves and this nation.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am feeling a sense of Prosperity in my life? What does it feel like when I am aware of how Prosperity may be used in a more positive way? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 16, 2010

For this Sunday, May 16th, the focus for our meditation will be on the Earth. Some time ago we focused on being grounded, which means being connected to the Earth and being fully present in our body. Each week as we perform the meditation we draw upon the energy of the Earth, bringing it in to help fill our body with energy and help make us centered and grounded for the meditation. Native Americans refer to the planet as "Mother Earth," which represents their awareness of the Earth as a life-giving source. This week we want to emphasize the connection we have with the Earth, to increase our awareness of the vast stores of energy she possesses and that are available for us to draw upon in keeping ourselves grounded and healthy. Further, we want to ask that respect for the Earth grow across this country and that more people take steps to help sustain the Earth and its limited resources.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am connected and grounded to the Earth? What does it feel like when I am aware of Mother Earth as a living being beneath my feet? How does it feel when I am mindful of the need to respect the Earth? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

In association with this week's topic I would like to draw attention to one of the links on the Meditation Project blog for a site called Earth Clinic (www.earthclinic.com). Earth Clinic is one of the top 10 alternative health sites on the Internet and also hosts a monthly prayer group that often focuses attention on issues impacting the health of the planet.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 9, 2010

For this Sunday, May 9th, the focus for our meditation will be on Acceptance. We focused on Acceptance back in November 2008 following the national election but this time we want to bring the focus to Acceptance in our own life. We all occasionally suffer setbacks and disappointment. Fortunately, most of the time these work out to eventually become minor annoyances. Sometimes, however, we experience significant crises, such as serious health issues, trauma, the loss of a partner or parent, etc. While these become definitely more of a trial in our life we still want to be able to move on from these events. To do so first requires Acceptance of what has happened. Rather than blame others or cling to the crisis as a means of identifying ourselves we want to learn how to move ahead and not be held back by the event. We want to ultimately shift our response so we can acknowledge with serenity what has happened but now prepare to let go and make forward progress once again. By learning Acceptance we can avoid feeling like victims and instead gain a victory over the events that shape our life.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I have Acceptance for whatever life presents to me? What does it feel like when I am able to reach Acceptance for even the challenging events in my life? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
