Meditation Instructions for Sun., Mar. 1, 2009

For this coming Sunday, March 1st, our focus will simply be on creating and building the white star-like light over not only the United States but also the entire globe. What is interesting about white light is that it contains all the frequencies of light in the visible spectrum. From a healer's perspective, white light therefore contains all the frequencies of energy that should be needed for healing. In metaphysical traditions there is also an aspect of spiritual protection to the use of white light. Each week as we begin our meditation by forming a circle and then creating this white, star-like light we do this with the intention of manifesting healing as well as protection for our country and its populace. By way of explanation, the blue bands or rays then help to secure this star-like light in place over the nation and provide stability for what we are creating.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get fully centered in your body, ask that your guides and others who are there to assist us be present, and then connect to the circle formed by those participating in the meditation as though we were all holding each others hands. As you create the brilliant star-like light place it first over the nation and extend blue rays from its center to the four borders to secure it in place. Gradually build the brightness and intensity of this light source and then raise it above the nation so it fills the entire globe with its light.

At the end of the meditation be sure to disconnect from the circle by releasing the "hands" of other participants and then express thanks for all those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Feb. 22, 2009

For this coming Sunday, February 22nd, the focus for our meditation will be on Flexibility. Significant changes are needed to right the nation, and it is human nature to often want to resist change. Change can be physically and psychologically stressful to individuals; yet, it is necessary for growth. In order to reduce the negative impacts of change we want to imbue the nation with a greater sense of resilience, adaptability, and flexibility. Concomitant with this, however, people also need to have a strong sense of foundation to keep them anchored and grounded while change is occurring. Instead of tumbleweeds being blown aimlessly about we want supple reeds that can bend with the wind while remaining strongly rooted in place. If we can increase the Flexibility of this nation people will remain healthier while learning to adapt to the ongoing changes needed.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or template that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does the quality of Flexibility feel in my body, or how do I feel when I am being Flexible? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation. Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Feb. 15, 2009

For this coming Sunday, February 15th, the focus for our meditation will be on Service. Many of our political leaders in the past have called the citizens of this nation to service. John F. Kennedy did it most memorably when he delivered his stirring inauguration speech on January 20, 1961. In it he spoke,

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own."

The need for service is just as important today. Given the magnitude of the challenges facing our nation we cannot rely on the efforts of government alone to restore this nation's health. It will take a willingness on the part of everyone at all levels to offer assistance and aid in service to others. Whether it is contributing time, money, resources, or prayer all must look around them and see where they are called to bring their light. In doing so, we stand a better chance of a speedier recovery from our country's ills.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or template that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does the quality of Service feel in my body, or how do I feel when I am willing to Serve others? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation. Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., Feb. 8, 2009

For this coming Sunday, February 8th, the focus for our meditation will be on Cooperation. Last week we asked for Bipartisanship, and it appears that an extension of this theme is still needed. On a very simplistic level, if there was more cooperation in the world we would likely not experience so many of the global conflicts that fill our headlines. In asking for greater Cooperation among the people of this nation, however, we are extending our request beyond just leaders of government. On a practical level, more cooperation is required in order for America's corporate and industrial leaders to be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to restore this country's financial health. People also need to be willing to sacrifice and cooperate so that the efforts of government and industry achieve their full effectiveness. In doing so, we will move forward as a nation rather than stagnate in self-interest and disagreement.

As a reminder, we typically form as a group in our focused meditation every Sunday from 12:15 to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) and return to bring more energy to the same theme throughout the week as time permits. If you are unable to participate at that particular time there are instructions posted on how to energetically contribute at either an earlier or later time (please see "Instructions for Meditating at Alternate Dates or Times" posted on August 21, 2008).

I'll also repeat the detailed instructions periodically on how we join as a group. It's been some time since they have been posted, so I'll repeat them here now as a refresher:

A few minutes before 12:15 you may want to get into your meditation posture and begin the relaxation phase.

Stage 1:
Sit (or lay down) so that you are relaxed and comfortable but your spine is straight and aligned over your pelvis (if seated).
Begin by taking several slow, deep breaths.
Follow the sensation of the breath down into your body.
Breathe into your spine, your hips, and then your legs.
Feel the breath reach your feet on the floor and then feel the connection through your feet to the earth’s energy.
Draw the earth’s energy up through your feet into your body.
Feel your body fill completely with this energy from your breath and the earth.
Invite your own personal spiritual guides to join you in the meditation.
Ask for those in the spiritual realm (especially the nation's Founding Fathers) who want to assist us in this project to be present.
If you have trouble feeling centered and fully in your body or feeling grounded to the earth ask Guidance to help you.

Stage 2:
Stay relaxed and begin to make a connection with the others in the group by perceiving that we are present in the same room and formed in a circle.
Feel yourself make contact with the person on each side of you in the circle by taking their hand – one to the right and one to the left. Feel the energy of the group grow as you make this connection.
Recognize there are groups all over who are doing similar activities with the same intention. We are connected to them as well as to each other.
Feel the grid or network that is created from this energetic connection. We receive energy from it as we feed energy to it.

Stage 3:
Place a brilliant white light over the center of the country.
Extend blue rays out from the center of that light in the four directions (north, south, east, and west).
The blue rays fill the country from border to border and sea to sea.
Connect to the energetic grid or network created across the circle. Use that grid to direct energy to the manitou of the nation [See Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 7, 2008 for explanation] with the intent of increasing the spirit of Cooperation.
The way to do this is to perceive in your body what the quality of Cooperation feels like. What does it feel like in my body when I am being Cooperative? Hold that feeling and allow it to intensify as you feed that energy to the grid or network with each breath.

Stage 4:
Close by disconnecting from the group circle.
Feel as though you release the hand of the person next to you and feel yourself break from the group.

Stage 5:
Thank your guidance and those in the spiritual realm for coming to assist you in this endeavor. Ask them to continue this work from their plane on your behalf throughout the week.
If you are able, you may want to repeat this process throughout the week, focusing on bringing light and energy to the meditation topic. When you do, connect to the same network or grid of energy created by the group at the original meditation session. Direct your intention to help support and grow that group energy. Be sure to disconnect from the group at the end.

Remember to report your experiences (if you choose) by e-mail, blog comment, or leave a short voice-mail message at my home office number (see General Instructions dated Thurs., Aug. 21, 2008 for more detail).
