For this Sunday, March 28th, the focus for our meditation will be on Non-Violence. The recent efforts to pass legislation to enact a healthcare reform bill have provoked tremendous controversy across America. There are many people with differing opinions, but what is disturbing is the growing tendency to promote oppositional views through violence and intimidation. The insidious nature of such need to foment discord did not magically appear because of this legislation – it existed previously but merely surfaced when the cause brought it prominence. Nor will this violent tendency go away when the passage of legislation is completed. There will likely be other causes that arise to which it will lend its strident voice. In our meditation this week we ask that the people of this nation learn to communicate their opinions with respect for others and especially that they seek a means of expressing opposing views in a spirit of Non-Violence.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.
Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I desire Non-Violent solutions to disagreements? What does it feel like when I recognize and appreciate the need for Non-Violence in how differing opinions are expressed? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., March 21, 2010
For this Sunday, March 21st, the focus for our meditation will be on Change. The world is obviously in a continual state of flux that requires our adaptation. Although constant Change can be stressful, without it everything would otherwise become stagnant. This week we want to recognize the natural seasonality and cyclic nature of Change in the world and in our lives. This concept is reflect in the Native American use of a Medicine Wheel to represent the cycles through which our life evolves. If we can appreciate the natural order of such Change it may help to ease the difficulty sometimes associated with accepting it and assist our ability to adapt. In addition, we want to consider the cycles through which our own country is evolving and ask that the Changes that come help move this nation forward.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.
Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am aware of the natural cycles of Change in the world? What does it feel like when I am able to accept and adapt to the regular order and flow of Change around me? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., March 14, 2010
For this Sunday, March 14th, the focus for our meditation will be on Power. All too often in this hectic modern world there is much that makes us feel completely powerless. While admittedly there are many challenges for our country and in our own lives nevertheless we need to acknowledge that as individuals we do have Power. Regardless of what may be occurring in our lives, we have Power when we remain centered and grounded in order to weather the maelstrom that swirls around us. We have Power when we remind ourselves of our connection to Spirit and the limitless resources that come from that divine relationship. Even when events seem to knock us down, set us back and try to prevent us from achieving our dreams we have Power by reaching inside and finding reasons to still appreciate our own self-worth. This week we want to recognize the presence of Power that will help us overcome any obstacles in our lives. In addition, we want to focus our meditation on how this country needs to use Power in a positive way to help bring greater health and stability to our nation.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.
Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am aware of my own strength and Power? What does it feel like when I know I am able to act with Power? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

Meditation Instructions for Sun., March 7, 2010
For this Sunday, March 7th, the focus for our meditation will be on Stamina. A good friend of mine and I are reading together a book on "chi" (energy) in which it talks about how to enhance one's connection to a source of universal energy through various physical practices such as tai chi or chi gong. When one is able to make such a connection you tap into a supply of energy that is inexhaustible. Practitioners of such physical arts as chi gong or tai chi believe that maintaining this connection helps with overall physical and mental health, promoting longevity, better mental acuity, and the Stamina needed to function at optimal levels. This week we want to examine what in our lives helps maintain our Stamina; in other words, how do we build a level of energy that allows us to perform without being drained? What is in our lives that helps us build rather than deplete our Stamina levels? Our nation, in particular, is in need of Stamina in order to see our way back to renewed health. While it appears the worst of the financial crisis has passed many experts are saying the road to recovery will be a long one. To reach that goal line will require Stamina for this nation and its citizens.
As a reminder, we typically form as a group in our focused meditation every Sunday from 12:15 to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) and return to bring more energy to the same theme throughout the week as time permits. If you are unable to participate at that particular time there are instructions posted on how to energetically contribute at either an earlier or later time (please see "Instructions for Meditating at Alternate Dates or Times" posted on August 21, 2008). A few minutes before 12:15 you may want to get into your meditation posture and begin the relaxation phase.
Stage 1:
Sit (or lay down) so that you are relaxed and comfortable but your spine is straight and aligned over your pelvis (if seated). Begin by taking several slow, deep breaths. Follow the sensation of the breath down into your body. Breathe into your spine, your hips, and then your legs. Feel the breath reach your feet on the floor and then feel the connection through your feet to the earth's energy. Draw the earth's energy up through your feet into your body. Feel your body fill completely with this energy from your breath and the earth. Invite your own personal spiritual guides to join you in this meditation. Ask for those in the spiritual realm (especially the nation's Founding Fathers) who want to assist us in this project to be present. If you have trouble feeling centered and fully in your body or feeling grounded to the earth ask Guidance to help you.
Stage 2:
Stay relaxed and begin to make a connection with the others in the group by perceiving that we are present in the same room and formed in a circle. Feel yourself make contact with the person on each side of you in the circle by taking their hand -- one to the right and one to the left. Feel the energy of the group grow as you make this connection. Recognize there are groups all over who are doing similar activities with the same intention. We are connected to them as well as to each other. Feel the grid or network that is created from this energetic connection. We receive energy from it as we feed energy to it.
Stage 3:
Place a brilliant white light over the center of the country. Extend blue rays out from the center of that light in the four directions (north, south, east, and west). The blue rays fill the country from border to border and sea to sea. Connect to the energetic grid or network created across the circle. Use that grid to direct energy to the manitou of the nation [see "Meditation Instructions for Sun., Sept. 7, 2008" for explanation] with the intent of sending the energy of Stamina across the nation.
The way to do this is to perceive in your body how the quality of Stamina feels. Ask yourself how do I feel when I am aware of having the Stamina to do what is needed? How does it feel in my body when my levels of Stamina are optimal? Hold that sensation and allow it to intensify as you feed that energy to the grid or network with each breath.
Stage 4:
Close by disconnecting from the group circle. Feel as though you release the hand of the person next to you and feel yourself break from the group.
Stage 5:
Thank your guidance and those in the spiritual realm for coming to assist you in this endeavor. Ask them to continue this work from their plane on your behalf throughout the week. If you are able, you may want to repeat this process throughout the week, focusing on bringing light and energy to the meditation topic. When you do, connect to the same network or grid of energy created by the group at the original meditation session. Direct your intention to help support and grow that group energy. Be sure to disconnect from the group at the end.
