Meditation Instructions for Sun., Apr. 5, 2009

For this coming Sunday, April 5th, the focus for our meditation will shift slightly from the previous format we have been following. Instead of narrowing our focus to a single intention we will pursue a broader meditation and will continue to send energy to it for a full moon cycle or the next 28 days.

With the continuing escalation of this country's financial crisis and its global spread it seems worthwhile to devote more than a single week to help bring the nation back into balance on this issue. In a recent interview financial advice guru Susie Orman spoke of the effect the financial situation is having on individuals. In her view people are becoming increasingly consumed with what they previously "had" versus what they still "have." She used the analogy of someone trying to drive a car while only looking in the rear view mirror at what they had just left behind. For the next 28 days we will work to bring the nation's focus to looking ahead and appreciating all that they still have before them.

We are choosing a 28-day period of reflection for several reasons. There is the symbology of the lunar cycle and the moon's influence on the waters (i.e., emotions) covering the earth as the gravitational effects of our orbiting moon impact the cycle of ebb and flow in the ocean's tides. There is also the recognition that even during periods when the illuminated view of the moon shows us only a sliver in the sky there remains a wholeness that is unseen.

During this upcoming period of reflection ask yourself what are the sources of "wholeness" in your life? What helps you to appreciate all that remains even in times of loss? What makes you feel whole as a person? As we meditate on these questions we want to stimulate this same quality of reflection across the people of this nation.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Reflect on the questions noted above and then send the energy and intention of that reflection to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
