For this Sunday, March 27th, the focus for our meditation will be on Tempering. My friends who are metal-workers can no doubt explain this process better than I, but Tempering refers to a process in which a material such as metal or glass is strengthened by subjecting it to a precise temperature for a specific period of time. The skill comes in moderating the degree to which a material is hardened so that it remains malleable and doesn't become brittle. Life subjects us to a similar process. Hardships that we experience can often help us to gain strength. As the saying goes, "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." However, there is a fine line between gaining resilience versus becoming hardened and armored. The purpose of armoring is to keep everything (and sometimes everyone) out. However, this can leave us energetically drained by having to continually maintain the protection the armoring provides. We can also become so used to carrying the armor around us that we forget how to let go of it and allow others access. This week we want to examine what has been the outcome of hardships we have experienced in our life. Have they left us with a flexible strength that makes us resilient, or have they hardened us so we have become brittle and closed off? In our meditation let us ask that those who experience difficulties find a way to use those events to Temper themselves, leaving them stronger and healthier as a result.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, and create the brilliant star-like light over the nation. Extend blue rays from the center of this light to the nation's four borders and then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.
Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I have been Tempered by experience in a way that has increased my resilience? What does it feel like when I know how to be Tempered by being both strong and supple at the same time? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation and the world.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
