Meditation Instructions for Sun., May 8, 2011

For this Sunday, May 8th, the focus for our meditation will be on Celebration. I was struck this week by the reaction of people around the country to the news of Osama Bin Laden's death. For me, personally, what I felt was relief. Relief that this mission was finally brought to a close. Relief and compassion for the family members of the victims of 9/11 that they might now perhaps find some closure. Relief and gratitude that no members of the military team were killed or injured in the operation. But not rejoicing. It was interesting to note the response of several spiritual leaders, including the Dalai Lama and the Vatican. Each communicated a message of objectivity that seemed to acknowledge the necessity of the act. While there was no apparent denunciation of the mission there was clearly also no jubilation. If we consider this lifetime to be an opportunity for us to further evolve and progress spiritually we want to consider what events truly deserve Celebration in our life. There are likely to be events worthy of Celebration that reflect what we are aiming to become as a spiritual being rather than rejoice over the loss of a life. This week in our prayer and meditation let us ponder the question what do you want to choose to honor and Celebrate?

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, and create the brilliant star-like light over the nation. Extend blue rays from the center of this light to the nation's four borders and then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I am Celebrating something that is a reflection of my higher self? What does it feel like when I know there is something that is worthy of Celebration in my life? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
