Meditation Instructions for Sun., July 6, 2014

For this Sunday, July 6th, the focus for our meditation will be on being a Conduit.  In her funny yet profound book on connecting with Spirit titled, “Outrageous Openness,” Tosha Silver writes, “Life changes radically if you know you’re a Conduit for what wishes to happen as opposed to the one making it all occur.”  While this perspective relieves the pressure of having to be the one responsible for making something happen at the same time it requires you to be a fully present and active participant in life.  Manifestation isn’t about sitting back on the couch and passively waiting for what you wish for to magically appear.  There is nothing inherently wrong with wanting something such as success, great relationships, or even material possessions to come into our life.  Where we more often go astray is in grasping at them too tightly, wanting them so badly that it is all we can think about, and then falsely assuming that once we have whatever it is that our life will be complete and perfect.  Instead, our biggest challenge is sometimes just getting out of our own way and being open and willing to be a Conduit for what we are meant to receive.  Once we recognize that it makes our journey through life so much less stressful.  The universe isn’t telling us we have to be paupers or chaste or deny ourselves the pleasures of life.  It is saying we will enjoy what comes to us much more and receive with greater ease if we allow Spirit to work through us in a way that leads us to what will serve us best rather than chasing after false goals.  This week in our prayer and meditation time let us consider how we might benefit from being a willing Conduit for what Spirit wishes to manifest in our life.  Rather than wearing ourselves out chasing after false dreams let us come to appreciate that the universe will bring us what we need once we are able to accept what comes.

In our efforts this week let us also continue to use the energy of our prayers and meditation to amplify the light that covers and fills this nation.  As we perform our meditation this week let us begin by re-energizing the brilliance and power of the light we create.  Just as before, begin by forming a concentrated ball of light that is so bright it is almost impossible to look directly at it.  Raise this sphere of light up high over the entire nation and then let its rays cascade down to create a solid, impenetrable dome of light that completely covers every inch of our country.  From shore to shore and border to border let the entire continent be filled with this brilliant, dense light that will serve to magnify the best and highest qualities of our country and the people who live across its vast lands.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, and connect to the circle of others participating in this project.

Ask yourself how do I feel when I am able to get out of my own way and serve as a Conduit for what is meant to be in my life?  How does it feel in my body when I am willing to give up resisting Spirit and merely be a Conduit for all life has to offer me?  Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
