For this Sunday, December 13th, the focus for our meditation will be on Caregivers. The recent widespread uptick in COVID-19 cases is considered to result from a combination of multiple factors. Colder weather is forcing more meetings indoors, families and friends were unable to resist the temptation to gather at Thanksgiving, and people are growing weary of the ongoing restrictions. Imagine, though, the weariness of health Care workers. They operate day in and day out under extremely stressful conditions with the threat of a potentially fatal disease hanging over their heads. They see the brutal toll this disease has on patients as well as their colleagues. There are also many frontline workers who make it possible for Caregivers to function safely and properly who operate behind the scenes and seldom, if ever, receive any public attribution. Think of the staff who maintain our medical facilities or the crews responsible for cleaning hospital rooms, changing linens, and laundering needed supplies. They all contribute in some way to providing needed lifesaving Care to others, yet we often take them for granted and just assume they will be there when our need arises. As the world continues in its struggle to rein in this pandemic let us take time this week in our prayer and meditation to send light and energy to Caregivers everywhere. May the support of our prayers help lift them up and sustain those medical Caregivers working tirelessly to ensure everyone’s survival. Additionally, if you haven’t already done so, please be sure to reach out in some way to our vital Caregivers and express your appreciation!
In our efforts this week let us also continue to use the energy of our prayers and meditation to amplify the light that covers and fills this nation. As we perform our meditation this week let us begin by re-energizing the brilliance and power of the light we create. Just as before, begin by forming a concentrated ball of light that is so bright it is almost impossible to look directly at it. Raise this sphere of light up high over the nation and then let its rays cascade down to create a solid, impenetrable dome of light that completely covers every inch of our country. From shore to shore and border to border let the entire continent be filled with this brilliant, dense light that will serve to magnify the best and highest qualities of our country and the people who live across its vast lands.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us and connect to the circle of others participating in this project.
Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I am grateful for having access to good quality medical Caregivers who help restore my health when needed? How does it feel in my body when I take time to show my appreciation for the ongoing efforts of medical Caregivers to let them know I Care about them? Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
