Meditation Instructions for Sun., Jan. 4, 2009

For this first Sunday of 2009, January 4th, the focus for our meditation will be on Patience. It seems at times that we have become a nation characterized by impatience. Our society is described as being a "fast food" nation in more ways than just its eating habits. We tend to expect instant results and are often intolerant of delayed gratification. There are many challenges ahead as we wait for our new administration to take office, and Barack Obama readily admits he will make mistakes. For our new President and Congress to effect the changes needed it most certainly will not be an overnight transformation and will take some time. We therefore ask that the people of this nation be filled with the willingness to be Patient and to give the new administration the time needed to find its way through the difficult terrain that lies before it.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or template that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does my body feel when I have the quality of Patience and then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation. Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

If you have feedback or experiences you would like to share please let me know (see previous blog posts for further details).
