Meditation Instructions for Sun., Feb. 1, 2009

For this coming Sunday, February 1st, the focus for our meditation will be on Bipartisanship. Webster's Dictionary defines bipartisanship as "marked by or involving cooperation, agreement, and compromise between two major political parties." It is part of the cornerstone of our form of government and is one of the qualities that distinguishes us from other countries that rely instead on monarchy, dictatorship, etc. To be truly bipartisan requires one to be conciliatory when appropriate but to also be able to fairly and firmly express views that may be in opposition to those held by others. Both sides have to be open to trying to understand the other's perspective and to be willing to weigh its advantages or disadvantages against one's own ideas before taking a position. Bipartisanship is critical to the smooth functioning of the Legislative Branch (Congress) and the Executive Branch (the Presidency). Both branches are designed work in concert to determine the right direction for the nation. For them to best serve this nation we ask this week that our elected officials gain a deeper consideration for the quality of Bipartisanship in their thoughts, words and actions.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or template that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does the characteristic of Bipartisanship feel in my body and then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation. Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.

If you have feedback or experiences you would like to share please let me know (see previous blog posts for further details).
