Meditation Instructions for Sun., March 28, 2010

For this Sunday, March 28th, the focus for our meditation will be on Non-Violence. The recent efforts to pass legislation to enact a healthcare reform bill have provoked tremendous controversy across America. There are many people with differing opinions, but what is disturbing is the growing tendency to promote oppositional views through violence and intimidation. The insidious nature of such need to foment discord did not magically appear because of this legislation – it existed previously but merely surfaced when the cause brought it prominence. Nor will this violent tendency go away when the passage of legislation is completed. There will likely be other causes that arise to which it will lend its strident voice. In our meditation this week we ask that the people of this nation learn to communicate their opinions with respect for others and especially that they seek a means of expressing opposing views in a spirit of Non-Violence.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, create the brilliant star-like light over the nation and extend blue rays to its four borders, then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.

Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I desire Non-Violent solutions to disagreements? What does it feel like when I recognize and appreciate the need for Non-Violence in how differing opinions are expressed? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
