For this Sunday, February 20th, the focus for our meditation will be on Completion. The constant presence of cycles around us serves as a reminder that as one stage is brought to Completion another stage begins. The moon eternally waxes and wanes from new to full; as we move out of winter we find a spring season emerging before us; in the Native American medicine wheel we pass from cycle to cycle in our life with each lodge bringing a new set of challenges and opportunities. Completion suggests we have successfully passed through a cycle and accomplished something in the process. It brings us to the threshold of the next stage and offers us the promise of something even greater than what we are leaving behind. While life as a whole is a never-ending process, we want to recognize what we have achieved along the way and take time to celebrate what we have managed to bring to Completion. What have we overcome and therefore set behind us as a challenge we no longer need to face? How have our toils helped to bring us to a stage of Completion in mastering something we were initially afraid or reluctant to tackle? This week in our prayer and meditation let us celebrate the cycles of life and especially the ways we have succeeded in moving from one stage to the next by gradually bringing each to a state of Completion.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, connect to the circle of others participating in this project, and create the brilliant star-like light over the nation. Extend blue rays from the center of this light to the nation's four borders and then connect to the grid or matrix that extends from the circle.
Ask yourself how does it feel in my body when I recognize I am at Completion in one stage of my life and on the threshold of the next? What does it feel like when I know I have brought a cycle to Completion and accomplished something positive along the way? Then send the energy and intention of that feeling to the grid for the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
