For this Sunday, December 24th, the focus
for our meditation will be on Buoyancy. It is hard to imagine now, decades later, but
in 1940 when Winston Churchill accepted the role of Prime Minister for Great
Britain, the country was filled with gloom at the prospect of what they
believed was an inevitable victory by Hitler’s armed forces. Much of Western Europe had already been
overrun, and it was thought Great Britain was next. When Churchill took over as Prime Minister he
stepped into the role with “Buoyancy and hope” in spite of the desperate
situation his country faced. To be able
to be Buoyant means that one can rise above that which is trying to
weigh one down. Rather than sink into
despair in difficult circumstances one finds a way to be lifted above the
mire. Our nation has certainly seen a
difficult past year on many fronts, and as we near the end of another milestone
let us consider how we can best remain Buoyant despite the
challenges. This week in our prayer and
meditation time let us reflect on what we can turn to in our life to help us
remain positive and lift us above the morass of pervasive negativity. Let us accompany the energy of our prayers
with the light of Buoyancy so they rise up to help fill this nation with
genuine hope for a better future.
In our efforts this week let us also continue to use the
energy of our prayers and meditation to amplify the light that covers and fills
this nation. As we perform our
meditation this week let us begin by re-energizing the brilliance and power of
the light we create. Just as before,
begin by forming a concentrated ball of light that is so bright it is almost
impossible to look directly at it. Raise
this sphere of light up high over the nation and then let its rays cascade down
to create a solid, impenetrable dome of light that completely covers every inch
of our country. From shore to shore and
border to border let the entire continent be filled with this brilliant, dense
light that will serve to magnify the best and highest qualities of our country
and the people who live across its vast lands.
Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in
your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us,
and connect to the circle of others participating in this project.
Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I have
experienced Buoyancy that lifts me
above what has tried to weigh me down? How does it feel in my body when I
am able to be Buoyant and rise above
challenges rather than sink into despair? Then send the energy and
intention of those feelings to the nation.
Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express
thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
