Meditation Instructions for Sun., June 10, 2018

For this Sunday, June 10th, the focus for our meditation will be on Patience.  We are increasingly becoming an instant gratification society.  Online retailers promise overnight delivery so we don’t have to be without those material things we desire.  Easy access to credit makes it possible to get what you want now rather than having to wait and plan or budget for the purchase.  In my professional life I teach people a skill that is difficult to master and filled with complex nuances and subtleties in its application.  Yet I continually encounter people who while admittedly quite bright mistakenly think this content can be distilled down from a full day of training to a few bullet points so they can be off and running with their new presumed ability.  We don’t like to wait for things, but life is filled with instances where instant gratification is not what serves us best.  Having Patience and being willing to wait for something requires trust that what will ultimately manifest for us will come at the right time and place.  Very early in my work life I was turned down for what at the time I thought was absolutely the right job for me.  I was devastated at the rejection.  Yet not too long afterwards another opportunity opened up that turned out to be a much more fulfilling and rewarding career than what the first job would have offered.  While upset at the initial perceived failure I had faith in myself and was willing to be Patient until something else turned up.  I just knew the universe would support what I wanted to do with my life for I felt so strongly that it was focused on making this world a better place.  Patience demands trust and faith so that we can better accept when things take longer or turn out differently than we expect knowing the right opportunity will eventually come to us.  This week in our prayer and meditation time let us ask that we all be filled with more Patience.  May we learn to trust the universe and have faith we will be supported in our goals and thus reduce the stress we too easily create for ourselves.  As we each adopt the ability to have more Patience may this trait also spread across this land and help relieve so much of the tension our country is feeling.

In our efforts this week let us also continue to use the energy of our prayers and meditation to amplify the light that covers and fills this nation.  As we perform our meditation this week let us begin by re-energizing the brilliance and power of the light we create.  Just as before, begin by forming a concentrated ball of light that is so bright it is almost impossible to look directly at it.  Raise this sphere of light up high over the nation and then let its rays cascade down to create a solid, impenetrable dome of light that completely covers every inch of our country.  From shore to shore and border to border let the entire continent be filled with this brilliant, dense light that will serve to magnify the best and highest qualities of our country and the people who live across its vast lands.

Please follow the same practice as before: Get centered in your body, ask to bring in your guides and others who are there to assist us, and connect to the circle of others participating in this project.

Ask yourself what do I feel in my body when I have recognized the importance of being Patient and waiting for the right solution?  How does it feel in my body when I have found the faith and trust required to be Patient and allow the universe to act in its own way and time?  Then send the energy and intention of those feelings to the nation.

Be sure to disconnect from the circle at the end and express thanks for those who have helped us in this effort.
